Easy to access location.  Service was good enough, pleasant and unobtrusive but did not try to engage us particularly.  The food was very tasty and cooked well - so thank you. We will be back!

Delicious food great portions came in a very good time and very friendly staff

I went here for lunch today with my 2 Sisters and we had a lovely lunch. The Beef Ciabatta was very tasty the Beef was moist and succulent and the Bread had been warmed I also had a portion of Roast Pots as they didn&rsquo;t do Chips the Potatoes were to die for.

Ordered my food through just eat. Was an hour and a half late after ringing twice it arrived and was Stone cold and inedible.m,I had to throw it in the bin. When I rang the restaurant the manager answered and was abusive and was shouting at me down the phone.. I will never order from there again and will not be recommending them to my friends in the area. Here we all are trying to keep the little businesses going and that&rsquo;s the service you get. Don&rsquo;t waste your money.

We attended here on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my partners birthday.The staff were fabulous in making everything feel organised and safe. The food, as usual was fabulous. I had a lamb dinner. The meat was cooked to perfection. Cant wait to book in again!

My wife and I were due to meet up with friends for lunch several miles away from home but they had to cancel.  We had not dined at The Hillside for some considerable time but were able to get a lunchtime booking.  We had dined here on many occasions in the past but had forgotten how much we had enjoyed it before.  We were fortunate that we chose a time when it was quite quiet so the ambience was good and we were well looked after.  The food was good too so we left well satisfied and will not leave it for so long to return.

The food was very tasty , nicely presented and hot.The service was good , we did nt wait long between courses.Overall a good experience.

Very disappointed in lack of Christmas cheer.Food was below standard and not very appetising. Garnish sad &amp; limpChips good &amp; hotMain course over cooked. Initially staff attentive, but sadly got too busy though restaurant wasn&#39;t 50% full..The standard of the ladies toilets is appaling..

Went there for a family birthday, we had a really good table and enjoyed the evening very much. Service was a little slow but it was busy so we weren&rsquo;t too worried and the server was very pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent, I had the pork belly which was delicious and everyone said they enjoyed theirs too. Well done for making it a memorable experience!
